Thought Leaders Conference/Mdest 2021

The Meadowlands 2040 Foundation and the Meadowlands Live! Convention & Visitors Bureau are jointly hosting Thought Leaders Conference/Mdest 2021 on October 19th, 2021, bringing together experts in economic development and tourism to discuss a plan that includes the construction of a convention center at the Meadowlands Sports Complex.

 

 

Key speakers at the event will include Rob Hunderson, CEO of HSP, who will discuss the analysis of building a convention center at the Meadowlands Sports Complex. Also speaking will be David DuBois, CEO of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, and Brad Mayne, CEO of the International Association of Venue Managers, who each have substantial knowledge of affects from convention centers, major events and destination related venues. The program will be moderated by Fletch Creamer, the Chairman of the Meadowlands 2040 Foundation.

“Mdest is the MLCVB’s premier annual educational and networking event for travel and tourism professionals in the Meadowlands and throughout New Jersey,” said Kelsey Sarro, the Tourism Coordinator, Meadowlands Chamber & Meadowlands Live! Convention & Visitors Bureau. “This year, we’ve combined the program with the Meadowlands 2040 Foundation’s Thought Leaders Conference to host an engaging discussion on how building a convention center here in the Meadowlands could help our state strengthen its destination economy. At this program, attendees will be presented with a new economic vision for the Meadowlands – bolstered by never-before-seen findings, insights and renderings.”

When: The conference will take place on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021 from 8:15 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. EST. At 8:15 A.M. there will be a Networking Breakfast and a Program to follow at 9:00 A.M.

Where: The conference will be hosted at the Hilton Meadowlands located at 2 Meadowlands Plaza, East Rutherford, NJ 07073.
