When Travis Scott announced that he would be bringing his Circus Maximus Tour to the Meadowlands for a one-night-only show, fans knew that they were in for a treat, as it was the last U.S. stop of his tour. On top of that, MetLife Stadium provided the rapper with the largest venue he has played in the country, performing in front of a sold-out crowd of over 80,000 fans in East Rutherford.
With a drop tower in the pits, the concert proved to be a once-in-a-lifetime event, pushing the boundaries of what a concert truly is. Scott’s showmanship was on display throughout the entire duration of the hour-and-a-half concert. From the pyrotechnics to the breathtaking graphics, all in attendance were given the show that they were promised.
On top of all the hype that came with Scott coming to the Meadowlands was the speculation of other big artists joining him on stage. Many speculated artists such as Playboi Carti due to their recent collaborations, Don Toliver, a member of Scott’s label Cactus Jack and even Kanye West.
Ultimately, Scott ended up bringing out several big names for the show including Playboi Carti and Future, which led to one of the loudest and most electrifying moments of the entire concert. Sheck Wes also came out to perform his hit 2018 song Mo Bamba and New York-based rap trio 41 opened the concert, getting the fans ready.
Travis Scott’s setlist for the concert featured a mix of old and new songs, bringing fans on a journey through his entire musical journey, ranging from songs off his 2014 album Days Before Rodeo to his latest album, Utopia.
As the event concluded and Scott left the raging crowd as Telekinesis played it marked the end to one of his biggest concerts and one of the most thrilling concerts MetLife Stadium has ever seen. From the graphics to the special guests to the setlist, Scott promised a special night for Jersey and kept his word.
