Perhaps no other artist has had a better run over the past 365 days than Kendrick Lamar. From chart-topping hits, to Grammy wins to Super Bowl halftime performances. He will be riding this high into a stadium tour that just recently kicked off. His ‘Grand National Tour’ with SZA will be making its way to the Meadowlands next week on May 8 & 9. Here’s all that there is to know as the event nears.
Both shows are slated to open at 7 p.m., with the stadium gates opening 2 hours prior. For fans that want to arrive even earlier, the parking lots will be open at 2 p.m.
The event is one of the most highly anticipated of the year, so you can expect to see lots of traffic around the area. With upwards of 80,000 fans all heading towards East Rutherford, it is best to plan your schedules around it.
Transportation to the event comes in many different forms. The parking lots within the stadium charge $40 per car and is one of the most reliable methods of getting there and back. Redd’s Bar and Restaurant in Carlstadt, New Jersey, will also be offering its shuttle services for both days of the concert, giving fans the opportunity to avoid the hassle of traffic outside the stadium. NJ Transit also runs the Meadowlands rail service, which drops fans off right in front of MetLife Stadium. All these options and more, serve as viable choices to get you to the concert.
Whether it’s SZA belting out high notes or Lamar rapping over a beat that will get stuck in your head, the concert will offer a fun time for all in attendance. So it is important for fans to be as prepared as possible when they make the trek to the Meadowlands next week.
