2025 FIFA Club World Cup Team Spotlight: Ulsan HD

As we continue to look at the soccer clubs that will be coming to the Meadowlands this summer for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, the final team confirmed to be playing at MetLife Stadium that we will look at is Ulsan HD. The soccer club is based out of Ulsan, South Korea.

Ulsan HD FC competes in the K League 1, which is the highest level of soccer in the country. In the past season, Ulsan HD finished 1st in the league with a record of 18 wins, 7 draws and 8 losses. They are also the reigning champions of the league, having won the title in the past season.

The team was founded on Dec. 6, 1983, making them one of the more newly-developed teams participating in the tournament. The team has still managed to create an impressive resume, though, having won the Korean FA Cup once and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League twice.

The soccer club plays their games at Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium, which is located in Ulsan, South Korea and has a capacity of almost 38,000 fans. The club’s impressive performances, especially in recent years, has led them to become one of South Korea’s most popular teams in the sport. They will look to use that support as they come to the Meadowlands this summer.

Ulsan HD FC will be taking on Fluminense F.C. on Jun. 21 at MetLife Stadium as part of a group stages match. The club will hope to use the recent success that they have found in South Korea and expand it, searching for victory in the Meadowlands region.
