American Dream was recently awarded with the distinction of being nominated for USA Today’s “Best Mall” award. The East Rutherford mall was the only one in the Garden State to secure a nomination. With all of the experiences and stores that the venue has to offer, it comes as little surprise that it earned a spot on the list of nominees.
At roughly 3 million square feet, American Dream is the second-largest mall in the United States, creating endless possibilities for entertainment opportunities. The mall boasts over 400 stores, 100 dining outlets and 20 full-service restaurants. Additionally, American Dream hosts hundreds of events each year, from celebrity appearances to sporting events.
As the 2026 FIFA World Cup heads to the Meadowlands, American Dream is even further booked with activations for the tournament. For 39 straight days, the mall will be hosting Dream Fan Fest, a soccer celebration generating excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup as it takes over the region. As part of the celebration, rapper French Montana will be performing after MetLife Stadium’s first World Cup match on June 13. This will be the inaugural event at the Dream Live Performing Arts Center, American Dream’s newest entertainment venue.
American Dream is more than a typical mall in several different ways. From its ice-skating rink to its indoor waterpark and amusement park, the entertainment opportunities are endless at the mall. Whether guests want to go snowboarding or mini-golfing, it can all be found at American Dream.
This variety of unique and engaging opportunities is what has led the mall to secure a nomination for this list. The nomination gives recognition to the mall for all of the work that has gone into providing guests with the most entertaining experience possible.
Malls from across the country have earned nominations, ranging from New York to Texas to California. American Dream represents the Garden State well, showcasing all that the area has to offer in regards to its exciting opportunities.
Voting is currently open and will be running through June 2. To vote, visit https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/best-mall/.
