Oreo is known for its creative collabs with pop culture icons like Lady Gaga, Black Pink, Coke, Sour Patch Kids, and Pokémon, each time rolling out inspired flavors and limited edition urgency.
Next up, the cookie company owned by Mondelez in Hanover, New Jersey is teaming up with Post Malone to introduce a new filling — salted caramel and shortbread flavor creme. The never-used-before flavor is sandwiched between a traditional Oreo chocolate cookie and a signature golden cookie.
“Who wouldn’t want to make their own Oreo cookie?” Malone said on social media. “I’ve been a big fan of these cookies my whole life so when the opportunity came up I couldn’t believe it.”
“Each cookie also features one of nine unique embossments inspired by Posty’s world and handpicked by the artist himself — from a hero Oreo x Post vinyl to cookies that show off his diverse discography,” according to a statement from Oreo. On the back of each package is a handwritten note from Post Malone.
“I really wanted to create a flavor that shows off my different sides — that was important to me,” Post told Billboard.
The cookies hit shelves Feb. 3 but online preorders begin on Monday, and people can signup now, Oreo said in a statement.
Oreo is now inviting fans to create their own twisted flavors with its Taste Twist Digital Experience, part of an ongoing sweepstakes that runs Feb.5 — March 31. See oreotastetwist.com for more information.
“To embark on the experience, input your musical sound, vibe and rhythm and let the algorithm jam out to reveal your own Oreo cookie flavor combo. Post Malone will even pop in to hype you up along your Taste Twist journey! Fans can share their custom Oreo cookie flavor combo with their community and enter for a chance to receive a pack of their own Taste Twist Cookie flavor combo or prizes such as signed Post Malone Oreo posters,” the company said.
