As international soccer fans prepare to travel across North America for the 2026 World Cup, Best Western Hotels & Resorts and Tripadvisor have launched a new AI-powered trip-planning platform aimed at simplifying multi-city itineraries.
The “Go for the Goal” experience uses Tripadvisor data and artificial intelligence to help fans coordinate lodging, transportation, and activities tied to match schedules, the companies said. The platform highlights Best Western hotel options near host stadiums, along with suggested travel routes and curated local recommendations.
“Soccer is surging across North America, and this summer’s once-in-a-generation global tournament will inspire millions to hit the road and follow the action,” said Joelle Park, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Best Western Hotels & Resorts. “By partnering with Tripadvisor, we’re reimagining the planning experience with AI.”
The platform includes more than 200 BWH Hotels properties located within 25 miles of host venues, offering options across the brand’s portfolio, from WorldHotels luxury properties to economy brands such as SureStay.
“With our dynamic AI trip planner, we’re using cutting-edge technology to elevate the journey for travelers heading to this global event,” said Steven Paganelli, vice president of global media and partnerships at Tripadvisor.
The tool is now available in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with additional international markets planned. It is offered in both English and Spanish.
The rollout comes as the Meadowlands prepares for an influx of global visitors tied to World Cup matches at MetLife Stadium, reinforcing the region’s role as a central hub for sports tourism in 2026.
MetLife Stadium in the heart of the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will host eight matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup games, including the final on Sunday, July 19. The stadium will be called the”New York New Jersey Stadium” for the tournament, will host five group stage matches, one Round of 32 match, one Round of 16 match, and the championship game.
