Calling All Transformers Fans: BotCon 2023 is Coming to American Dream

Transformers fans will be flocking to the Meadowlands as BotCon 2023 is coming to the American Dream’s Dream Live convention space this month. The convention will run from Aug. 25 until Aug. 27.

Uniting fans since 1994, this marks the first year that BotCon will be hosted in the New Jersey or New York City area. Over time, BotCon has been held in 18 different cities, 12 different states, and 3 different countries.

Some highlights of BotCon include meet and greets with the voices of Grimlock, Arcee, Hot Rod, Bumblebee and more fan-favorite Transformers characters. There will also be exclusive transforming robot toys and merchandise for sale. The main exclusive for BotCon 2023 is the Dinoforce Box Set.

The convention will also include panels and autograph sessions with famous Transformers voice actors and content creators. Some of the actors that will be in attendance include Scott McNeil, Garry Chalk and Simon Furman. The Scott McNeil autograph opportunity is free to all with the price of admission. Meet and greet opportunities will include the option to purchase autographs, photos, audio recordings, selfies and more.

A staple at every BotCon is the custom figure class which teaches attendees to learn how to create a custom Transformer figure. These classes will have two sessions on Aug. 25, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. The convention will also feature sneak previews of new Transformer products on the way from Hasbro.

Tickets for Friday and Saturday of the convention are $45 with Sunday tickets being $25. All guests under B12 will be able to enter BotCon for free.

For those traveling to the Meadowlands, the Hilton Meadowlands Hotel has been designated as a partner hotel for the convention’s guests.

The Dream Live space has hosted a plethora of conventions and events since its inception. The Meadowlands Chamber hosted its BizFest23 at the space in May. Most recently, the space has been used as a Metallica pop-shop for the band’s weekend set at MetLife Stadium.
