About FUBU
Started in 1992 by four friends from Hollis, Queens — Daymond John, Keith Perrin, J. Alexander Martin, and Carl Brown — For Us By Us acquired Coogi Australia in 2002. Coogi was once known for the knit sweaters made popular by rap stars like The Notorious B.I.G.

The FUBU brand has expanded in recent years, with each founder branching out to start other ventures, including HotelFUBU, FUBU Radio, FUBU Studios, and Shark Branding.
In 2020, FUBU went back to its roots and introduced a new collection combining contemporary and classic styles.
The brand’s appearance on the stage at Atlanta Fashion Week last year was its first on the catwalk in almost 20 years.
FUBU started out when in the late 1980s when Daymond John started sewing hats in his mother’s basement in Queens with just a $40 budget, Entrepreneur.com reported.
The company grossed over $350 million in annual worldwide sales by 1998, and by 2004, its estimated value hit $6 billion, according to Shoppe Black and other reports.
