On Saturday, May 30, the second annual Corgi Cup will be returning to the Meadowlands Racetrack. The event offers guests the perfect opportunity to have fun while watching these adorable dogs compete.
The night will consist of corgi racing combined with harness racing, to make sure that guests are able to enjoy the entertainment all night. The corgi races will begin at 5:30 p.m., while the harness racing is set to kick off at 6:35 p.m. Admission to the event, in addition to parking, are both free.
While some of the corgi races will be taking place prior to the start of the harness races, many will occur in the gaps between harness racing. The approximate start times for each of the corgi races can be found listed below.
- 6 p.m. (Before Race 1)
- 6:10 p.m. (Before Race 1)
- 6:20 p.m. (Before Race 1)
- 6:30 p.m. (Before Race 1)
- 7 p.m. (After Race 1)
- 7:20 p.m. (After Race 2)
- 7:45 p.m. (After Race 3)
- 8:10 p.m. (After Race 4)
- 9:06 p.m. (After Race 6)
- 9:30 p.m. (After Race 7)
- Finals: 9:45 p.m. (After Race 8)
100 pups will be competing, with each winner of the 10 qualifiers advancing to the finals. Each qualifier winner earns a $100 betting voucher, while the winner of the final race receives a $500 betting voucher. Only dogs that are registered for the competition are permitted onsite.
