Choose New Jersey, the Garden State’s leading nonprofit business organization, recently announced its successful second quarter in 2024. The organization’s triumphs are highlighted by continued expansion in East Asia and the opening of the New Jersey West Coast Center in California.

Not too long ago, in May, Choose New Jersey opened the New Jersey Asia Pacific Center in Taipei, Taiwan after a helpful multi-nation economic mission to East Asia in 2023, which was led by Governor Murphy. The economic mission included visits to Japan and South Korea and served to help build the relationships between the countries and New Jersey. The Center will create new opportunities for collaboration between New Jersey and East Asian businesses, while simultaneously strengthening economic and cultural relations. It serves Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and China.
A month later, Choose New Jersey opened the doors of its New Jersey West Coast Center, located in the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, California. The Center is the organization’s first location in the United States outside of the Garden State and will help support companies in the artificial intelligence (AI), technology and film industries currently located on the West Coast that are looking to move or expand to New Jersey.
The second quarter also saw the redesign of Choose New Jersey’s website, which provides businesses looking to move or expand to New Jersey with valuable resources on the topic. The new website is not just easier to navigate but also features a more modern and vibrant appearance.

Choose New Jersey also participated in the BIO International Convention in San Diego, the SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor and the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Summit in Sunnyvale, advocating for why New Jersey is one of the best locations for businesses to grow. Choose New Jersey also attended the Site Selectors Guild Annual Conference in Nashville, the SelectUSA Road Show in Germany and Austria and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) China Symposium.

During the second quarter, Choose New Jersey had plenty of other notable moments including:
- Hosting its first-ever International Week, bringing together all of the organization’s international representatives to New Jersey.
- Attending the New Jersey AI Summit, which brought together industry leaders, academia and state agencies to discuss how AI can ethically boost New Jersey’s government services and private companies.
- Hosting an economic mission to California led by Governor Murphy, which saw the organization visit film and technology companies in the area.
- Introducing new members and promotions within its staff.
