The Meadowlands saw two action-packed games last Sunday, with both teams holding their own against playoff-caliber teams. This week, the action will return to MetLife Stadium after both teams played away games last week. The Jets will be hosting the Atlanta Falcons, while the Giants will be traveling to Foxborough to take on the New England Patriots.
Atlanta Falcons vs. New York Jets
The New York Jets will be returning to MetLife Stadium following a 23-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Though the result was not ideal, the Jets offense was able gain momentum with Tyrod Taylor at the quarterback position. In particular, newly-acquired wide receiver, John Metchie III has continued his dominance since joining the team, picking up 65 receiving yards and another receiving touchdown.

This week, the Jets will keep Taylor at the quarterback position, looking to build off his performance from the previous Sunday. Breece Hall has also continued to dominate, contributing to over 115 yards of offense for the team. Heading into this week, the team will look to continue integrating its newly-acquired players into their system.
In Aaron Glenn’s first season as the head coach of the New York Jets, the team has overcome much adversity. With both the offense and defense trending upwards, it offers a good sign for the Jets, who are slight underdogs entering the game. Beyond the rest of the season, it can pour over into next year’s season, where the Jets will look to continue building on their performances from each week prior.
New York Giants vs. New England Patriots
The New York Giants will be taking on the New England Patriots in a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football, following one of the most entertaining games of the season last week. While the Giants were unable to close out a victory over the Lions, their overtime loss was full of excitement and bright spots.
Giants quarterback Jameis Winston racked up over 350 passing yards, while also throwing two passing touchdowns. In addition to producing in the passing game, he also boasted 33 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. As impressive as Winston’s performance was, it seems likely that rookie phenom Jaxson Dart will be reclaiming his spot as the team’s starting quarterback in their next game.
Dart will look to pick up where Winston left off, taking control of a red-hot offense. Though the Giants will have a tough matchup in the 10-2 Patriots, Dart will look to continue displaying the phenomenal quarterback play that he took over the league with before his injury.
The Jets will be taking the field on Sunday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. at MetLife Stadium, where they will search for their second consecutive win at home, having gotten a victory in their last game in the Meadowlands. The Giants will be playing on Monday, Dec. 1, under the bright lights of primetime football, where emerging star quarterback Jaxson Dart will look to lead the team to an upset win over one of the league’s top teams.
