The Meadowlands had another action-packed week of football, as the Jets won in walk-off fashion against the Atlanta Falcons. The Giants, on the other hand, held their own in a primetime matchup against the New England Patriots on Monday.
Miami Dolphins vs. New York Jets
The New York Jets will be returning to MetLife Stadium for another week, after an exciting win against the Atlanta Falcons this past Sunday. The Jets will be taking on a divisional rival this time, in the Miami Dolphins. This will be the teams’ second time meeting up this season, as the Jets look to even up the series after falling to the Dolphins in their first matchup.
In their most recent game against the Falcons, Jets quarterback Tyrod Taylor put up a solid performance with 172 passing yards, a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown, though it was newly acquired wide receiver Adonai Mitchell that had a breakout game. Mitchell recorded eight receptions for 102 receiving yards with a receiving touchdown.
The Jets will look to ride the momentum of their 27-24 win against the Falcons, which ended on a 56-yard walk off kick. With Mitchell establishing himself as one of the team’s premiere receivers, the Jets offense is hoping to build off the momentum gained from last week. The Jets matchup against the Dolphins is set to take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. and it is expected to be a close game, with the Dolphins just slightly favored but the Jets are always ready to pull off an upset.
New York Giants, Bye Week
The New York Giants will be resting this week after taking on the New England Patriots for Monday Night Football in their previous matchup. The bye week provides Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart with another week to rest after just coming back, after being sidelined for several weeks due to concussion protocols.

In his return, Dart put out a solid performance, recording 139 passing yards and a passing touchdown. The Giants’ receiving core has been seeing a split share of targets, which speaks to the team’s depth and the talent spread throughout the roster.
As the Giants take their only week off of the season, the Jets will be looking to record their second-consecutive win at MetLife Stadium. After an impressive win against the Falcons, the team will look to continue that momentum this Sunday.
