Football in the Meadowlands Week 15 Preview: Jets Face Off Against Jaguars, Giants Host Commanders at MetLife Stadium This Sunday

The Meadowlands is in store for another exciting week of football, with the Giants returning to MetLife Stadium to take on a divisional rival on Sunday. The Jets will be traveling this week to face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

New York Jets vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jets will be heading to Jacksonville on Sunday, Dec. 14, to take on the Jaguars, with uncertainty at the quarterback position. After Tyrod Taylor’s exit from an injury, rookie Brady Cook stepped in to take over, throwing for 163 passing yards. Heading into this week, the battle between Cook and Justin Fields for the spot of starting quarterback is still being contested.

The Jets will look to continue feeding the ball to their young, offensive talent, who have seen much progression over the course of the season. Rookie tight end Mason Taylor gathered 51 receiving yards on five receptions in the team’s game last week. While unable to do this in last week’s game, wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will look to build off his breakout performance from the team’s game two weeks ago, against the Atlanta Falcons.

Entering the matchup, the Jets are significant underdogs, with the Jaguars fighting for a chance to win their division, they will be playing with some extra motivation. Whether the Jets decide to take the field with Brady Cook or Justin Fields, the offense will hope to gain back some momentum and lead the team to their fourth win of the season.

Washington Commanders vs. New York Giants

A well-rested Giants team will be returning from their bye week to take on a divisional rival in the Washington Commanders this Sunday. The Giants will be hosting the Commanders on Sunday, Dec. 11 at MetLife Stadium at 1 p.m., as the team returns to the Meadowlands.

With star quarterback Jayden Daniels still out for the team, the Giants are favored to win the matchup. Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart will look to continue his impressive rookie campaign, as the season draws closer to an end.

With much young talent still taking the field, the Giants will use their remaining games to help continue the development of the players into stars. As favorites, the Giants have a good opportunity to bring some excitement to the fans this weekend and walk away with a win.

The predicted outcomes for the two games are drastically different, with the Giants favored significantly more in their matchup than the Jets. However, both teams have enough talent on their rosters to walk away with a victory this weekend.
