MetLife Stadium in the Meadowlands, East Rutherford, New Jersey is one of the 14 hosts tapped for the Conmebol Copa América 2024 games being held next year from June 20 to July 14 in the United States.
The 82,500-capacity venue — the largest NFL stadium in the country — is hosting three games, including a semifinal match, according to Conmebol (South American Football Confederation).
“We will experience an unforgettable Copa America, enjoying the best soccer in the world in 14 magnificent stadiums,” said Alejandro Dominguez, President of Conmebol and FIFA Vice President.

The oldest worldwide national team tournament, the Copa América 2024 games will be held at 14 different stadiums across 10 states on the East Coast, Central Zone and West Coast.
The 48th edition of the tournament features 32 matches to be played over 25 days of competition with 16 participating teams — 10 from Conmebol and six from Concacaf (the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football).
The quarterfinals will be held July 4 at NRG Stadium in Houston; July 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; and July 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

MetLife will also host two games in the Copa América’s group round, which were recently announced as Uruguay vs. Bolivia on Jun. 27 and Chile vs. reigning World Cup champions Argentina on Jun. 25. The matchup between Chile and Argentina is a rematch of the 2016 Copa América Final, which coincidentally also took place at MetLife Stadium.
Reigning world champion Argentina will seek to retain its title after defeating Brazil in the final on July 10, 2021.
Already qualifying for 2024 Concacaf national teams are the U.S., Mexico, Panama and Jamaica. The other two Concacaf teams will come out of a play-in tournament on March 23 between the national teams of Trinidad & Tobago, Honduras, Canada, and Costa Rica.
