The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, a first of its kind tournament will see 32 of the world’s top soccer clubs come to the United States, where 63 matches will occur over the span of 28 days. While the World Cup focuses on international teams facing off against one another, this will contain soccer clubs facing one another.
The final game of the FIFA Club World Cup will be held at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, July 13, but East Rutherford will be seeing much more action than just the final game. Eight other games will be played at MetLife Stadium over the duration of the tournament, including two semi-finals matches on Jul. 8 and 9, a quarter-finals match on Jul. 5 and 6 group stage matches scattered from Jun. 15 to 23.
The group stage matches were recently announced, naming the teams that will be coming to East Rutherford this summer. They can be found listed below.
6/15: SE Palmeiras vs FC Porto at 6 p.m.
6/17: Fluminense FC vs Borussia Dortmund at 12 p.m.
6/19: SE Palmeiras vs Al Ahly FC at 12 p.m.
6/21: Fluminense FC vs Ulsan HD at 6 p.m.
6/23: FC Porto vs Al Ahly FC at 9 p.m.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup serves as yet another stepping stone for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, one of the biggest sporting events in the world, who’s final will be held in East Rutherford. As the Meadowlands prepares for the increased responsibility that comes with such a popular event, the Club World Cup allows them to prepare for what is to come in 2026.
