The summer festivities are in full swing at Hackensack, where musicians will be playing at five locations along the city’s Main Street. The concerts not only give citizens the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, it also provides an economic boost to the businesses surrounding the venues. All five of the locations are conveniently located near cafes, as well as shops.
Musicians will be performing throughout the months of July and August. On Thursdays and Fridays, performances will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Performances will take place along curated spots throughout Hackensack’s Main Street, including plazas and café-adjacent sidewalks. The selected locations are chosen to provide maximum visibility and safety
“Music on Main is not just about music – it’s about community and connection,” said John T. Peters, Executive Director of the MSBA. “This program enriches the everyday experience of our downtown by turning sidewalks into spontaneous stages. It makes the arts more visible, more accessible, and makes Main Street a true creative hub for all.
The Downtown Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance (MSBA) launched the program as a way to not only bring more attention to the area, but provide opportunities for local musicians. On top of the musicians, local businesses surrounding the areas in which the performances take place will also be positively impacted.
