Children of healthcare professionals experienced a day filled with hands-on activities at Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC) in recognition of Take Your Child to Work Day.
More than 300 children of team members participated in the Take Your Child to Work Day event, which at HMH was aimed at sparking curiosity and inspiration to explore the diverse world of medicine and its environment. - Heart & Vascular Explorers: Little hands learned about the human heart through stethoscope listening, mock blood pressure checks, and even hands-on CPR demonstrations.
- Lab Coats & Microscopes: A scavenger hunt through the world of lab and pathology, complete with organ observation under microscopes, captivated future scientists.
- X-Ray Visionaries: Aspiring radiologists donned sterile gear, navigated a vein finder challenge, and even x-rayed a cell phone.
