IOREBA (Industrial Office Real Estate Brokers Association) recently held a fall kick-off event at the Newark Airport Marriott attended by The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).
The event consisted of a cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and a presentation on PANYNJ’s efficiency and best practices in supporting New Jersey’s commercial real estate industry.
Over 60 attendees at the kick-off had the opportunity to learn about the Port Authority of NY and NJ’s multiple areas of contribution to industrial real estate, as well as the success of the NY/NJ region as a whole.
Blair Wegeschiede, Manager of Port Efficiency, and Zachary Werkmeister, Senior Logistics Analyst for the Port Authority discussed the new developments which allow the PONYNJ to continue to be the gateway to one of the most concentrated consumer markets in North America and the largest port on the East Coast.
Attendees at the event were offered exclusive access to small group guided van tours of both ports managed by the PONYNJ during daytime hours. The data and time of the tours are to be announced at a later date.
IOREBA counts itself as one of the largest regional organizations of its kind and is the oldest industrial and office real estate brokers association in the US. Upcoming IOREBA events include its annual Holiday Party at the Highland Pavilion in West Orange, NJ, to be held on December 4th.
