Jets, Giants Both Eye QBs in Upcoming 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is set to begin on Apr. 24 and both teams from the Meadowlands will have their pick at some of the top talents on the board. Both teams had rather disappointing seasons this past year, which has left them with a valuable spot in the draft. The Giants will have the No. 3 pick and the Jets will have the No. 7 pick.

It is no surprise that the Giants will be looking to draft a quarterback with their pick, now that Daniel Jones is no longer on the team. The team will have a wide variety of players to choose from, though the popular pick seems to be Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. Sanders, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion, is one of the most-talked about names in college football and has shown a liking for New York.

The Jets have more needs to address in the draft, which means that their first round pick may not be used on a quarterback. Mock drafts have projected the Jets to pick a variety of different positions ranging from defensive ends to wide receivers. The Jets recently signed QB Justin Fields to a 2-year, $40 million contract, but the team may seek another player at that position. If the Jets are to choose a quarterback, Jaxson Dart has emerged as the favorite and is reported to have a high standing within the organization.

The NFL Draft isn’t guaranteed with trades and surprise moves happening all the time, though those are two players to keep out for in the draft, as they could be coming to the Meadowlands. Both teams will hope to use the young talent to build around their teams and compete in the near future.
