JLL recently announced that Joseph Caridi has joined the firm as Executive Managing Director for the Tri-State region. The move helps to deepen the firm’s leadership bench during a critical period leading them through a period of significant growth in the Tri-State real estate market. Caridi will be based in JLL’s New York office and report to President of Tri-State Brokerage at JLL, Michael Colacino. In the role, he will oversee markets that span across New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut/Westchester.
Caridi brings an array of experience to the role, with over three decades working in commercial real estate leadership and a majority of his career centered around the Tri-State Region. He joins the firm from Cushman & Wakefield, where his most recent role was Managing Principal for South Florida, leading a team of over 450 professionals.

Caridi’s career has seen him hold several executive roles, helping to lead and grow businesses. He previously held a role as Chief Operating Officer for the Tri-State Region at Colliers International, where some of his duties included managing all day-to-day operations and directing core business functions.

In another role as an Executive Director at Newmark Knight Frank, Caridi managed the firm’s New Jersey brokerage operation, before being promoted to oversee brokerage and advisory services for the entire Tri-State Region. While at Reckson Associates Realty Corporation, he completed over 900 transactions that totalled over 10 million square feet, further emphasizing his skills in the field.

Caridi earned his Juris Doctor from the City University of New York School of Law at Queens College, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a licensed real estate broker in New York, Connecticut and Florida. He brings much experience to the role, which he will use as he looks to help the firm grow.
