Join Hackensack Riverkeeper for Kearny Point Cleanup This Saturday to Keep NJ Litter-Free

On Saturday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hackensack Riverkeeper will be hosting its annual Kearny Point Cleanup. The cleanup will be taking place at 50 Central Ave in Kearny, New Jersey, which is located between the Passaic and Hackensack Rivers that run through North Jersey and collects the litter that comes from them.

Those eager to join can help make a positive impact on the cleanliness of waters in the Meadowlands and the overall environment. All equipment that is required for the cleanup, including trash grabbers, bags and gloves will all be provided.

The community cleanup is a great way to give back to the community by helping keep the region free of litter. This Saturday, temperatures are expected to hit over 70 degrees, making it perfect weather to go outside and help our environment. Bring clothes that you won’t mind getting a bit dirty and get ready to enjoy the beauties of nature in the Meadowlands, while actively working to make it better.

Hackensack Riverkeeper hosts several cleanups throughout the month to help keep areas across North Jersey clean. To view other cleanups and register for the Kearny Point Cleanup, visit https://www.hackensackriverkeeper.org/rivercleanupprogram.
