Kearny Bank Donates $2,500 to Nonprofit Lunch Break

Kearny Bank’s Kearny Bank Foundation recently donated $2,500 the nonprofit Lunch Break, which provides food, clothing, and fellowship to those in need. The funds from Kearny Bank will be used in support of participants in Lunch Break’s Life Skills program, who are engaged in finding employment and achieving self-sufficiency.

“Lunch Break is a fantastic organization, and since we’re doing business right in this community, it just makes sense for us to contribute,” said Pat Zilly, Assistant Vice President / Retail Relationship Manager at Kearny Bank’s Little Silver location.

“Beyond that, several of Lunch Break’s core efforts, like soft skills training and financial literacy awareness, are perfectly aligned with some of what our foundation focuses on,” Zilly added.

The KearnyBank Foundation delivers support to local organizations striving to improve communities. Through financial grants and the hands-on efforts of Kearny Bank employees, the mission is to improve the lives of friends and neighbors throughout the communities we serve.

“We sincerely believe it is our duty and responsibility as a corporate citizen to help build a brighter future for us all. Through the KearnyBank Foundation we support the important work done by so many organizations and groups helping the disadvantaged, the young, sick, elderly and more. We help with financial grants but also through the hands-on efforts of many of our employees who are committed to improving lives throughout the areas we serve,” according to the bank’s website.
