New Jersey’s My Chemical Romance is kicking off a 2025 stadium tour featuring their 2006 blockbuster “The Black Parade” as well as other catalog highlights, with distinct opening acts.
Considered one of the most influential rock groups of the 2000s, the North American 10-city stadium tour kicks off on July 11, 2025, in Seattle, Washington, and takes place in July, August, and September. The band comes to the Meadowlands at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Aug. 9, with Death Cab for Cutie and Thursday opening.
Launched in 2001 by lead vocalist Gerard Way from Summit, New Jersey, the band’s current lineup consists of his brother, bassist Mikey Way, lead guitarist Ray Toro, and rhythm guitarist Frank Iero. Produced by Live Nation, each stadium concert location will be joined by unique opening acts including Devo, Alice Cooper, Garbage, and others.
“… we love bands like Queen, where it’s huge and majestic, but also bands like Black Flag and the Misfits, who would go absolutely crazy,” Gerard Way told Rolling Stone.
My Chemical Romance broke up in 2013 and announced reunion shows in 2019. A few years later, in 2022, they released a new song “The Foundations of Decay.”
