A tradition in the Meadowlands continues this winter as The Meadowlands Racetrack is hosting live harness racing every Friday and Saturday through the winter with a 6:20 p.m. post time. Every Friday in January, racing fans can enjoy free live racing programs available beginning at 5 p.m.
In addition to those races, Meadowlands Racetrack is introducing Sunday matinee racing with a 12:30 p.m. post time. These matinee races will take place on Jan. 22 and 29. During the Sunday matinee cards, the racetrack will host a brunch for guests. This $29.95 meal features eggs benedict, French toast, scrambled eggs, a carving station and Jason Settlemoir’s spicy bloody Mary. The full menus can be viewed here.
Also starting up is The Meadowlands Winter Meet Survival Challenge powered by 123Racing. The competition is set to kick off on Friday, Jan. 6. Players will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and Meadowlands swag in this free online competition. The grand prize for the competition is $750 plus a Meadowlands swag package. A new addition to the contest this year is the $100 monthly winner. The player with the highest bankroll for each month during January, February and March will win the new monthly prize. Additionally, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is hosting a 6-course Latin-inspired wine dinner on Jan. 14. The price for the dinner is $79.95 and the menu includes shrimp ceviche, tostones, empanadas, grilled skirt steak and three desserts. The menu along with wine pairings can be viewed here.
Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment is also opening a new event space in early 2023 with a redesigned Gallery with multiple TVs along with a private bar and balcony overlooking the Racetrack’s FanDuel Sportsbook.
