Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment Prepares to Host ‘The Biggest Party in Harness Racing’ on July 13

On Saturday, July 13, Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment will be hosting the Meadowlands Pace, which is also known as the ‘Biggest Party in Harness Racing’. The event earned this nickname through all of the fun events that occur before and during the races.

The festivities include a “Pace Be With You” T-Shirt giveaway at 5 p.m. to the first 5,000 fans, music from DJ ALX and plenty of carnival rides and games to keep guests entertained. The activities include a mechanical shark, axe throwing, a 3-in-1 sports game and a toxic obstacle course.

There will also be a wide selection of food trucks at the racetrack to make sure all guests can enjoy delicious food while watching the races. While on the topic of food, the Meadowlands Burger Battle will also be taking place on the same night, where local joints compete to crown who has the best burger in the Meadowlands. Participating vendors will be competing for $3,000 in prizes, with judges critiquing their work on a combination of taste and presentation.

At the actual race, $2,403,000 will be handed out across eight different stakes, with the $650,000 Meadowlands Pace holding the biggest money prize. The other races that will be taking place on Saturday include:

 The first race kicks off at 6:20 p.m., and admission and parking are free! With all of the festivities set to take place, it is highly suggested to come even earlier to experience all that the event has to offer.
