Catch NJ Transit for ‘North to Shore’ Fest

The North to Shore Festival, which has been dubbed “The Festival That Only NJ Can Hold”, is starting today, June 10 and will end on June 30. The festival spans across three different cities throughout the Garden State, with Asbury Park holding the festivities for the first week, Atlantic City for the second and Newark for the third and final week.

The North to Shore Festival is still in the early stages of its development, as it was created in June 2023. The event was created as a way to showcase all of the talent that New Jersey has to offer by spreading the festival across three different locations within the state.

When discussing the circumstances under which the festival was created, NJ Governor Phil Murphy said, “Can’t we find a way to sew all that together and put a marker in the sand and start our own festival? And that is how North to Shore was born.”

The festival will feature performances from legendary artists and comedians over the next few weeks, with each location having lots of talent. To kick off the festivities in Asbury Park, Bleachers, Gary Clark Jr., Band of Horses and more will be performing. From June 17-23 in Atlantic City, Frankie Valli, the B-52s and the Barenaked Ladies are among the artists performing. For the final week from June 24-30, Matchbox Twenty, Kevin Hart, Gabriel Iglesias and more will be performing at the Prudential Center in Newark. The festival is meant to span the entirety of New Jersey, making these performances available to all residents and the most convenient location to attend for those in the Meadowlands would be the final week in Newark.

To make it easier for festival-goers in the Garden State, NJ TRANSIT will be offering discounted tickets to the event for the second year in a row. The promotion includes 25% off round-trip travel by using the promo code with the name of the host location in the mobile app. To access the promo codes, visit njtransit.com/n2s.

With tourists expected to visit all three of the areas in anticipation of the performances, each of the three cities is expecting to see an economic boost in the coming weeks.
