NJ Transit Recognized by Forbes Among Best Places to Work for 5th Consecutive Year

For the fifth year in a row, NJ Transit has been recognized by Forbes as one of the most ideal places to work. For the second year in a row, they were named as one of the best large employers in America on the 2025 Forbes America’s Best Employers List.

On top of these impressive honors, they were also named to the inaugural Forbes 2025 America’s Dream Employers List and Forbes’ 2024 America’s Best-in-State Employers list. These recognitions acknowledge the hard work that the company puts towards providing the best experience for their workers.

“Our customers are at the center of everything we do, and delivering safe and reliable service starts with fostering a culture of excellence among our employees,” said NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kris Kolluri. “This recognition from Forbes reinforces our commitment to investing in our workforce, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to provide the best possible service to our customers.”

The 2025 Forbes America’s Best Employers List was curated through independent surveys amongst over 217,000 employees of U.S. companies that employ over 1,000 people within the country. The survey included employees from a variety of sectors.

The final score was calculated by two different types of evaluations, which are personal and public. Personal included evaluations given by the employees, while public included evaluations given by friends and family members of employees, or those working in the same industry.

With more than 5,000 employees, NJ Transit was categorized as a large employer, where they were recognized among the best. Their inclusion to the list shows their dedication to helping both their employees and customers.
