NJMEP and Universal Robots Launch Training Academy in Garden State

The New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP) has collaborated with Universal Robots, a global leader in the field of robotics, as an Authorized Training Partner in the Universal Robots Training Academy network. The partnership between the two will help bring specialized robotics training closer to NJ manufacturers, encouraging them to implement advanced automation in their daily operations.

The Universal Robots Training Academy hosted by NJMEP kicked off its first training sessions on Nov. 15. The Training Academy will also enhance skills in the workforce and boost competitiveness across regions.

Universal Robots (UR) was founded in Denmark and has established themselves as the industry standard for collaborative robots. The company has transformed automation by developing solutions that work safely with human workers. UR’s collaborative robots are used across the world to increase productivity and enhance safety among other benefits.

The Universal Robots Training Academy will be hosted in the Garden State and aims at making automation more accessible for manufacturers in New Jersey. The partnership allows NJMEP to offer more enhanced training, focus on practical skills and much more.

“Our mission is to make sure New Jersey manufacturers have every opportunity to grow, adapt, and succeed in today’s tech-driven world,” said Peter Connolly, CEO of NJMEP. “By teaming up with Universal Robots, we’re able to offer advanced robotics training that not only elevates our manufacturing community but also strengthens New Jersey’s economy. As an authorized training partner for Universal Robots, NJMEP will be a powerful resource for workforce development in our state.

NJMEP is recognized as one of NJ’s premier training and consulting providers and this collaboration only boosts their reputation. Through their new partnership with UR, they will be able to allow more NJ manufacturers than ever to utilize automation and supply them with the tools needed to thrive.
