The official regional poster for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee was unveiled yesterday (April 15) in Times Square Manhattan, New York City, and at MetLife Stadium Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Designed by South Orange, N.J. native, Brooklyn-based, and award-winning artist Rich Tu, the poster is a visual celebration of the tournament that also marks the beginning of an ambitious beautification initiative. (MetLife will be called New York New Jersey Stadium during the tournament.)
The digital poster will offer passersby a chance to see it every time they look up, FIFA said in a statement about the poster.
World Club World Cup 2025 and World Cup 2026
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the first edition of the tournament to be hosted across three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. New York New Jersey was selected to host 9 FIFA Club World Cup 2025 games and 8 FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, including both Finals.
“This poster is a bold celebration of everything that makes the NYNJ region so dynamic — our diversity, creativity, and unmistakable energy,” said Bettina Garibaldi, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer of the NYNJ Host Committee.
“Rich Tu’s design captures the essence of who we are: a region that stands out. It reflects the communities we’re proud to represent, and it sets the tone for how we’ll engage, excite, and inspire fans on the road to 2026,” Garibaldi added.
Bringing Art To The People
For those eager to see it in person, the poster is on display at 352 Marin Blvd. in Jersey City, “a fitting first location, according to the statement.

“Jersey City is one of New Jersey’s most diverse cities and home to the state’s largest Filipino community.” The city also holds personal significance for the artist, a proud first-generation Filipino American.
To further elevate the moment, the design will also be displayed at Poster House NYC, a museum dedicated to poster art. There, it will live as part of the museum’s permanent collection, celebrating the intersection of art, sport, and culture.
FIFA World Cup Halftime Show = Curation By Coldplay
The 2026 men’s World Cup Final at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is taking a page from the Super Bowl and including a halftime show. Chris Martin, the lead singer of the British rock band Coldplay, is working with FIFA to curate the first-ever Super Bowl-style halftime show for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
While Coldplay will not be performing, they are helping curate the list of performers for the FIFA World Cup final halftime show. The band will play a key role in advising FIFA on the production of both the halftime show and the Times Square takeover, said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
