When MrBeast Burger opened at American Dream on Sept. 4, 2022, it was a madhouse scene full of screaming fans. It was almost as if YouTube sensation Mr. Beast (aka Jimmy Donaldson) was about to introduce a Taylor Swift burger — with Taylor Swift herself.

Now the most-subscribed YouTuber in the world, Donaldson has a multi-million dollar hat in the ring to buy TikTok. While not the only bidder looking to grab the controversial social video platform from China’s ByteDance, his recognizable name, brands, and outreach are collectively grabbing headlines worldwide.
“Okay fine, I’ll buy Tik Tok so it doesn’t get banned,” Donaldson posted on X last week.
Now he has some big money names along with his own to bring that to buy to the table.
With 347 million YouTube subscribers, his MrBeast personality grew into a multi-million dollar operation with many moving parts. The success of the first MrBeast Burger at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, led to opportunities in Ireland, where there are now a dozen MrBeast Burger spots, with seven more planned.
He introduced the chocolate and snack brand Feastables in 2023 and last year created his hit Amazon reality show, Beast Games, in connection with Tyler Conklin, Sean Klitzner, and Mack Hopkins. Donaldson has an estimated net worth of $1 billion as of January 2025.
