Virtual public forum: The Green(way) Dream

In late January the Hudson County Division of Planning released a blueprint for a waterfront walkway running FIFTEEN MILES from Mill Creek Point Park in Secaucus, to Skyway and Lincoln parks in Jersey City, and ending at Collins Park in Bayonne. From the heart of the Meadowlands, down the Hackensack River to Newark Bay, and under the Bayonne Bridge to the Kill van Kull.

When completed, it will be one of the most comprehensive waterfront public access projects in America and will also connect with mass transit at Secaucus Junction and the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail as well as the Essex-Hudson Greenway. And it’s something we fully support.

To learn more, you’re invited to join Captain Bill Sheehan and our colleagues from the Sierra Club Hudson Group, BikeJC, Skyway Park Conservancy, and more at “The Green(way) Dream: Linking Hudson County Parks & Trails – an online public forum on Tuesday, March 1 at 7 PM.
