Weiss Realty, headquartered in Moonachie, New Jersey, has appointed global commercial real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to lease an industrial property ready to support high-power operations such as data centers, electric vehicle manufacturing, and advanced production facilities.
The 138-acre site is located at 2500 North 22nd St., Decatur, Illinois, and includes a proposed 488,000-square-foot building adjacent to an Ameren Corporation substation with a load capacity of 274 megawatts. Zoned for warehouse and manufacturing use, the property features development-ready building pads capable of supporting structures ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 square feet.
Conor Mullady, Senior Vice President of JLL’s Industrial Group in Chicago, will lead marketing and leasing efforts for the site.

The Decatur property is positioned near the ADM Intermodal Ramp, offers direct rail connectivity, and provides quick access to regional highways and the local airport. Full utilities are available, and the site includes ample parking for employees.
Previously, the location was home to a Caterpillar facility that operated there for over 15 years before the company consolidated its warehousing operations.
Now, Weiss Realty is positioning the property to attract tenants in industries driving the next wave of innovation and infrastructure investment.
