Everyone Invited to Jam with School of Rock Carlstadt at Open House

School of Rock in Carlstadt is holding its second open house on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10-2 and is inviting the public to tour the new facility at 301 Hoboken Road and jam with everyone.

School of Rock teaches kids and adults of all skill levels to play and perform the songs they love. Using a performance-based teaching method, students develop a mastery of music theory while learning how to perform in a band with others.

One-one lessons are combined with group band practices with programs that include songwriting and the chance to become an Allstar and even go on tour. The School of Rock AllStars music tour took place from July 21 to Aug. 6 and was the first since 2019. (Just 1% of students nationwide at chosen.)

The 161 elite students toured 31 cities and performed at venues that included San Diego’s Voodoo Room at House of Blues, the Brooklyn Bowl, and Lollapalooza.

Rock Out At Carlstadt’s Open House

The Carlstadt location opened earlier this month, is the third in New Jersey and one of more than 325 locations in over 15 countries. Founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by Paul Green in 1998, it’s the largest music school franchise in the United States.

Operated by CEO and General Manager David Santamaria and COO Dominque Abita, the two completely gutted and renovated the space at 301 Hoboken Road to create a professional music performance space with separate studios for lessons.

At the Open House, people can meet School of Rock Carlstadt ’s music teachers, all experienced musicians devoted to helping students reach musical proficiency.  The instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.

School of Rock Summer Camp

There are a few spots left for Rookies & Rock 101 camp ages 5-12 August 21-25. Signup here to secure a spot or call 201-322-ROCK (7625). Rock 101 camp is designed for beginners and no experience is necessary. Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities and work on songs. The camp will culminate in a concert at the end of the week for family and friends.
