In the months prior, MetLife has played host to a variety of superstar performers, including Beyoncé and Metallica. The next global sensation making their stop at MetLife is K-pop group, BlackPink. East Rutherford will be the group’s first North American performance on their Born Pink Encore World Tour.
In preparation for the concert, American Express opened up a Born Pink pop-up in NYC that is lined with merch, intriguing designs and even a photo booth. The pop-up, located in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood at 541 W 25th St, is a must-see for loyal fans of the group looking to show their support.
The pop-up will be open from 11am to 9pm on Friday, Aug. 11 and 11am to 7pm on Saturday, Aug. 12. However, there is an exception, as Amex Express card members have the ability to be let in an hour before it is scheduled to open. Among the items for sale are a $500 limited-edition bomber jacket and $3500 e-bike, but for those looking for a more sensical option, there are BlackPink-themed beanies, shirts, hoodies and other apparel for a more affordable price. Whether you buy a $500 jacket or $20 beanie, everyone will receive a complimentary BlackPink tote bag with their purchase.
The celebration won’t stop in NYC, as American Dream will have their own DJ playing all of BlackPink’s hits and music of related artists. There will also be a BlackPink-inspired Pink Lemonade Martini available at House of ‘Que.
Though tickets for the concert are sold out, two lucky fans will be given tickets to the concert by entering a competition held by American Dream. Those wishing to participate have until Aug. 11 at 2:30 pm. The winners will be announced roughly 30 minutes later at The Dream Stage in Court A, Level 1. Those wishing to enter can do so through this link.
With tickets for the concert sold out, it is sure to set a hectic scene in and around the Meadowlands. Two of the most common ways to arrive at the stadium if you are in need of public transportation is NJ Transit or the 351 Meadowlands Express, a Coach USA bus-service that provides transportation from NYC to MetLife.
Also, providing shuttle service is local eatery, Redd’s Bar and Restaurant, which is conveniently located less than a mile from MetLife Stadium. The shuttle runs every 5-10 minutes and continues throughout the entirety of the event.
For those driving to the stadium, the parking lot will open at 3:30, though the stadium gates will not open until 6:00. There will also be a charge of $40 per car and $160 per oversize vehicle.
