Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment is bringing back the Meadowlands Summer Survival Challenge, a free online contest powered by 123Racing.
The challenge kicks off Friday, May 3, and concludes with the Hambletonian on Aug.3. Cash prizes and Meadowlands swag are up for grabs in this free online contest.
Participants register with an email address, logon to the Meadowlands Summer Survival Challenge and select one entry in each of three game races selected by the game Commissioner. See the rules for more information.
How the Challenge Works
Players are credited with a “mythical” $2 win (1st), place (2nd), and show (3rd) or “across the board” wager on each of their selections in the three designated races each night. The total mutuel payouts according to The Meadowlands official race results will be accrued to the participant’s “mythical” bankroll.
The winner is determined by the highest total bankroll at the end of the Challenge based on a $2 “across the board” wager on selections for those three designated races in each program.
However, to continue in the game, entrants have to “survive” by finishing in-the-money [first through third] with at least one of their selections each day. Failing to do so or not making selections knocks the player out of the game.
Prizes and Other Details
To aid in the player’s survival a “lucky horseshoe” is given. The lucky horseshoe is a “free pass” given to all Challenge participants that allows the player to survive if they do not make selections for a race card or all three of their selections fail to hit the board.
Prizes:
- The grand prize is $750 + Breeders Crown Night at the Races Package
- The second-place prize is $500 + Meadowlands swag
- The third-place prize is $250 + Meadowlands swag
- Most Winners: $200 + Meadowlands swag
- Highest monthly bankroll (May, June, July): $100 + Meadowlands swag
The free contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada 18 years and older, and all selections must be made through the format provided on the Survival Challenge website page. Trackmaster Platinum Past performances for the three designated races will be provided through the game board.
The challenge begins Friday, May 3, 2024 and concludes when the last Meadowlands live race is official on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Scoring is based on pari-mutuel information as supplied by the USTA. Your race selections must be made no less than 30 minutes prior to the start of the first race – first race post time is 6:20 p.m.; special 12 noon post time on Hambletonian Day, Saturday, Aug. 3.
