Yankees Legends Make Appearance At American Dream for Pinstripe Pride Event

Darryl Strawberry, Doc Gooden and Rickey Henderson joined other all-time Yankees greats, hall of famers, record breakers, and award winners at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford for the recent Pinstripe Pride event.

The annual meet-and-greet was originally scheduled for the Meadowlands Hilton in Hasbrouck Heights, but the venue was changed to the 27,000-square-foot Dream Live space at American Dream Meadowlands in East Rutherford to accommodate a spike in ticket sales after more players confirmed they were participating in the event. Demand for tickets really soared when Jorge Posada signed on for an appearance, event organizer Hall of Fame Signings said in a press releaseAmerican Dream provided a larger venue while also offering Yankees fans with plenty of room to mix and mingle, plus an array of entertainment and dining options to explore before and after the gathering.

Yankees utilityman Oswaldo Cabrera made an appearance, as did coaches and broadcasters, current and former players like Wade Boggs, Jim Kaat, Cecil Fielder, Goose Gossage, Nestor Cortes, Ron Guidry, Graig Nettles, and many more. Sponsored by Celebrity Cruises, the event was hosted by Audacy WFAN 101.9 FM / 660 AM on air host Keith McPherson, a Jersey native raised in Monmouth County. McPherson grew up a die-hard Yankees fan and parlayed that passion into his current gig and jobs with Major League Baseball and Roc Nation Sports.

Aside from autograph signings at the Pinstripe Pride event, Yankee fans lined up for up for photo opportunities and to checkout cards and other memorabilia on display, with each player offering his own set of items and options. Celebrity Cruises raffled a “Legends of Baseball” Celebrity Cruise for two at the event and provided refreshments while people waited.
